i wasn't able to bid on the rebel xt.
now, i'm looking at a powershot s2 is, even though there is an s5 out. most reviews i've read said s5 isn't that great, and the difference between s2 and s3 is insignificant.

so, here's my question: would you buy a refurbished canon w/ a 3-year warranty but no bonus items or get a refurbished canon with the regular 90-day warranty but with a battery charger, rechargeable batteries, a 2 GB card, etc...?

Still here in some fashion. My mother's been here for 10 days, although today she flew to SC to see her friends. So, I've got 8 days without her before she comes back. Let mayhem reign! Or not.
I took her to a one-woman show the other night to get her a little immersed in milwaukee culture (the polish diva from milwaukee), but i think we'll bypass the brats and beers.


Work on my web sites is at a stand still; I've not felt like doing much. Instead I have spent more this week on frivolities than ever this year. A living dead dolls lunchbox, an argyle vest/sweater, a striped top, the harry potter dvd (which has yet to arrive, goddamnit). Speaking of HP, I'm rereading Order of the Phoenix and am gaining a deeper appreciation of it. I must have read it too hastily the first time around.


Am doing all right in my lent project. It's funny, I'm not at all religious (I'm a deist), yet lent has been very effective in helping me say NO. And i've been good about excerising. Go me, I suppose.
